It was born out of an idea that today's readers are perpetually on the go and that they have only a few minutes of their time to scan the news. From its original 12-page format, Tempo increased its pages to 16 on Nov. 10, 1995. The paper went full color on March 23, 1999 as the Bulletin further modernized its printing. Its first editor was Recah Trinidad and was succeeded by the late Augusto Sta. Ana on May 1, 1983.
